Any product name with the word magic in it sounds a bit like a gimmick, right? Way to prove me wrong Lush!!
After an entire weekend of research for my pending treatise, my neck and shoulders were in spasm and threatening to send over their bestie, Mr migraine… I popped out my Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar which I intended to save for fibromyalgia flares.
I read the instructions again…wondering how the hell this cute looking bar of what looks like soap could do anything for my aching and highly strung muscles. Anyway, I was desperate and the instructions said something about it melting like chocolate – at that point I was sold.
I rubbed it over my shoulder and was surprised at how it almost instantly glided easily over my skin as it started to melt from my body temperature. The red dots (aduki beans) are there to gently massage as your rub the Wiccy over your muscles. Rich oils quickly covered my shoulders and I popped my Magic Bar back into its Naked Tin Packaging because I could feel myself about to get carried away and melting the entire chocolate…uhm…massage bar.
I then used my hands to rub my shoulders and neck with the soothing and warming oils. Yes warming…exactly what your muscles need for a little relief. My muscles slowly began to release, but more importantly it stopped the threatening migraine in its tracks. And that is something I have never in my life been able to achieve with anything other than a migraine kit or injections at casualties. I contacted Lush the very next day to tell them I literally had happy tears when this very magical massage bar provided me with an alternative.
The scent…oh darlings… the scent! I am convinced that the smell of the peppermint and cinnamon oils contributed greatly to preventing my migraine. It is such a beautiful, luxurious, comforting smell – one day social media will allow us to share scents but for now, take my word for it. If happiness had a smell this would probably be it!
It works just as well for loosening up my muscles and kick-starting my blood circulation – very necessary during Fibromyalgia flares. And it is an absolute hero for post workout relief and recovery. A little goes a long way, so don’t get lost in thought when you start rubbing Wiccy over your muscles. I love that this is such a dimensional product because not only does it work for massaging but I am yet to experience a better body moisturiser!! So you do half the work for twice the benefit. Absolutely perfect for my current winter, snake-skin situation going on. I’m quite keen to also try massaging it onto my tummy when flow strikes – I have a feeling it could provide some endometriosis relief as well.
I now carry my Wiccy around with me in an oval Lush tin in my handbag. That’s how much I love it!
